Mardi Gras Masks

There a number of feather masks for Mardi Gras that are quite beautiful. These masks combine vividly colored feathers with usually a sequined half mask. The Venetian Mardi Gras style mask originates from century old traditions of Venice Italy. The Venetian Mardi Gras Mask sometimes reflect the theater style of Commedia dell'Arte (The Comedy of Artists). Many of the plot lines were written with a theme of adultery, jealousy, old age, and love. The Venetian masks were often worn in the Carnival of Venice.
