Definitely Democrats. The Republicans had their chance for the last 8 years and look where we are today. (See Margaret's subject-related lenses for an objective documentation of our current situation in this country).It's obvious to me that overall the Democrats are more concerned with the greater good for all Americans, whereas the Republicans in their current form seem to be all about special business interests only. We've been systematically isolated from the rest of the world, at a time when cooperation and coordination are more important than ever. Ron Paul seems to be a good man, and Hillary or Obama both have their flaws, of course. The necessary changes in foreign policy cannot be achieved by one good person alone, anyway. Considering the track records of both parties over the last 20 years, my opinion is that there are more decent and competent people within the Democratic Party.

Jana makes a good point, especially after the past 8 years. Conservatives are getting a bad rap because of the Bush Administration excesses. Even so, Nancy Pelosi promised to be bi-partisan and cut government spending. She has done neither. Her 'solutions' always seem to involve taking more $$$ from American taxpayers.
