The former Shudder to Think guitarist, now author turned soundtrack composer, Nathan Larson also worked on the score for Our Idiot Brother. The latest trend in movies is simultaneous release of the movie on DVD at the same time the movie is released in theaters. But rather than to rent for only $.99 or $1.99 is to charge a premium viewing price at a little more than half the price of seeing it in the theater.
Studio executives are betting on the fact that many people will consider it cheaper than a night out at the movies without the cost of multiple movie tickets, popcorn, parking and having to pay for a sitter.
