Who is Marguerite Wright

I am a woman from Detroit, Michigan. I come from a wonderful, working class family that migrated from Arkansas to Detroit. I have been an artist every since I could hold a pencil. I love drawing, watercolor, acrylic and lots of other medias. (I will be posting my artwork here soon.)

I attended Oak Park High School, in Oak Park, Michigan, graduated class of 1979 then attended Western Michigan University where I majored in Graphic Design. Those were some of the best memories of my younger days. I pledged Delta Sigma Theta sorority at Delta Upsilon undergraduate chapter.

I later moved to Chicago where I became a woman, became a sabbath keeper, found a wonderful church and learned the TRUE WORD OF GOD, at The Israel of God www.theisraelofgod.com. Then when Brother Daniel established another church on the west side of Chicago, The House of Jacob and my family and I joined him. Today, along with being a professional graphic designer and Illustrator, I am a mother, wife to Malik and also a grandmom.

I am a certified herbalist and health consultant. I have a passion in studying herbs and natural health alternatives and networking on the internet.

I have also added the title Team Beachbody Coach as another description of what I do. I am supporting others trying to loose weight and get fit while I am doing the samething. I do feel great and getting a little tone by working out daily. Presently, I am doing the Slim in 6 program and DVD by Beachbody.

The family went to the White Sox game the summer of 2008 with my co-workers. When I saw this photo it reminded me how much I really need to loose those extra pounds and never find them again.

GOOD NEWS
I started working out the end of December 2008. I feel great. Working out makes me feel so much better with more energy. I started with Jillian Michaels (The Biggest Loser) dvd, The 30 Day Shred, doing this 20 minute workout 6 times a week. I lost about 8 pounds and hubby says I look a little firmer! (Yeeaaaaah!). Now doing the Slim in 6 and getting ready to order the new meal replacement shake just released by Beachbody, Shakeology

I LOVED Spike Lee's latest movie. The Miracle at St. Anna and all I can say from that film is "Wow!" It was great. I really enjoyed it, even after having to read sub-captions. I want to watch it again. The story of four black soldiers in the all-black 92nd Infantry division, trapped near a small Tuscan villiage. One of the soldiers ends up protecting a young villiage boy in the mist of battle. Actors Michael Ealy, Derek Luke and Laz Alonso were very good. I give the movie 4 stars, thumbs up and bravos!!! A MUST SEE movie. Add it to your Netflix list!

The family checked out the latest Batman movie The Dark Knight. It was kinda long. I fell to sleep on it. I wanted to see it cause parts of the film was filmed right in Chicago. I thought Heath Ledger made that movie with his charter, The Joker.

I watched Talk to Me with the hubby. I enjoyed it. I would give this movie 3 stars. Don Cheadle is an excellent actor. He really got into the era of the late 60s, early 70s. Taraji P. Henson was also good as his sexy, soul sistah girlfriend. This movie was entertaining and brought back memories of growing up in the 70s. If you like R&B and enjoyed listening to the radio and the dj's of the 70s, then you will appreciate this movie. It was based on a true story of an ex-con, turned dj in Washington D.C.
