In Search of Hope
The Global Diaries of Mariane Pearl
In 2006, Mariane Pearl set out on a round-the-world journey in search of proof that hope is stronger than hatred. Every month, she features stories about the heroic and inspiring women she meets in this journey in her Global Diary for Glamour Magazine. The stories are alarming, but show us how ordinary women, despite harrowing odds, can change the world for the better. This book goes behind the scene and and offers never-before-seen photographs from her travels. Glamour Magazine will donate 100 percent of its proceeds and royalties from In Search of Hope to charities selected by the women profiled.
The Daniel Pearl Foundation was formed by Pearl's family and friends to continue Pearl's mission and to address what they consider the root causes of his death, in the spirit, style, and principles that shaped Pearl's work and character.
