The Marital Matrix Has You....

        I only promise you the truth... can you handle it?

I am Dave Turo-Shields.  I have unplugged from the Marital Matrix.  You might say that I'm the Marital Morpheus... seeking other individuals, couples and marrieds who are seeking the truth and want to be set free to claim extraordinary relationships.  My mission is simple.  It's to unplug as many people as I can in my lifetime from the lie that "this is as good as it gets" in marriage.  I'm not talking about "bad marriages," though you will benefit here too.  I'm also speaking to those of you who would look at me, maybe with that Stepford Wife look and say, "My marriage is good."  I don't buy it!

I live in Indianapolis, Indiana.  I've been married for going on 17 years.  I am father to Nicholas, age 8 1/2 and Sarah, age 6 1/2.  I am a seasoned couples therapist (20 years) and a Certified Empowerment Coach.  But that aside, I'm talking to you today not as a "specialist" but as a passionate and fully conscious lover, who wants to shake you out of the trance you've been caught up in.  More on that in a moment...

I own a counseling, coaching and consulting practice here on the south side of Indianapolis called Kenosis.  Kenosis is ancient greek for 'being emptied out'  My wife and I have developed a sensual model called the Kenosis Approach.  I'll be referencing it many times over here.  It's simple.  It's powerful.  It will transform your life.

 I love to bicycle, read, scuba dive, have long bedtime talks with my son and flirt with my wife endlessly ;-)  My daughter is MY Morpheus.  She teaches me daily about living exuberantly, creatively and with electric love.

I find great pleasure in watching folks break the trance of the Marital Matrix.  At first, not unlike when Neo is first unplugged from the Matrix in the movie, it's awkward, raw, truthful... beautiful.  Then a couple will become self conscious.  Something's changed for them.  They're no longer like other couples they hang out with.  It's threatening to not fit in you know!  After some practice, this couple, who may have been married 25 years, is walking hand-in-hand down the White River canal, giggling and frolicking.  Maybe another couple walks by who're still plugged into the matrix. They may be appalled or snap a verbal judgment like, "They must be newlyweds.  That won't last!"  You see, they feel awkward because most couples' truth is that they aren't supposed to live passionately after the honeymoon's over.  Not so!

Who is this Squidoo for?  It's for anyone who wants to believe again that marriage can be powerful and electric.  Did you know that 40% of marrying age America is choosing to stay single?  People are losing faith in marriage, creating alternatives, choosing to stay lonely.  And they admit they're starving for soulmate companionship, but just don't believe in it anymore.  I am here to offer couples CPR (Claiming Passionate Relationships).  It won't be easy.  I only offer the truth.  The choice will be yours.
