This was supposed to be Mark Dacascos' film debut. Unfortunately, his scenes in this Wayne Wang-directed film didn't make it out of the cutting room. Dim Sum: A Little Bit of Heart follows the lives of a family of Chinese immigrants in San Francisco, California.

This was a film made in 1990, in an era where low budget martial arts movies were excellently made. Olivier Gruner is Jacques Fontaine, a French student who arrives in the US as an exchange student. He rents a room in a home owned by an innocent family who continues to be harassed by a gang of hoodlums. Jacques decides to do something about it.

A samurai master adopts an American baby (the lone survivor of a plane crash in the mountains of Japan). The baby grows up alongside the samurai master's son (Dacascos). They are both educated and trained in the warrior's way. Things don't go as well between the stepbrothers. Out of envy, Dacascos abandons his father's home and joins the Yakuza, the Japanese mafia. Years later, due to a turn of events, they once again meet as combatants in a deadly martial arts tournament.

5) Only the Strong (1993)

Dacascos is a soldier who returns home to Miami after doing military service in Brazil only to find out that his former high school has become a haven for gangs and drug dealers. Determined to help out, Dacascos starts teaching Brazilian capoeira to students. This however angers a local drug lord who makes it his mission to bring down Dacascos and his students.

6) Dragstrip Girl

Dacascos is a working class Latino guy who falls in love with a rich white girl. He's a bad boy who'd like to be good falling in love with a good girl who'd like to be bad. To top it off, the soundtrack includes music from the Grammy-award winning band Los Lobos.

7) Double Dragon

Alyssa Milano is in this movie. This fact alone should convince you to watch it if you haven't already. Even if Time magazine listed this movie in 2009 as one of the top ten worst video game movies. Anyway, Dacascos here is one of two brothers who have in their possession the other half of an ancient Chinese medallion called the "Double Dragon"

8) Deadly Past

Never before had a bartender in a movie been as good in kicking ass as the bartender in this movie. This bartender is of course Dacascos.

9) Kickboxer 5: the Redemption

Some fans of the Kickboxer movies are saying this is the worst movie in the series. Some say it's the best. Some say it's okay. Some say it's awesome. Some say it's crap. But if you're a Dacascos fan, this is a must-watch. Enough said.

10) Crying Freeman

A killer who cries after every kill. Hence the "Crying Freeman" nickname. This is without a doubt one of the most enjoyable Mark Dacascos films.

This is a cops vs drug lords movie. This time around Mark Dacascos is playing a villain. He is a vicious and power-hungry leader of the local mob. This movie boosts of an international cast including actors from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan and America. American hip hop artist Coolio co-stars as a ghetto gangster.

This is without a doubt considered by many as the best Mark Dacascos film to date although he plays a sidekick here. He is a North American Indian brought to inner France by his French friend. They were sent to Gevaudan, France by the King to investigate the killings in the province by a mysterious beast aptly called "The Beast of Gevaudan".

21) Instinct to Kill (2001)

A woman marries a cop who she thinks is a very good man. It turns out however that he is a serial killer. So she gives him up to the authorities. The man is jailed but he escapes and is bent on exacting revenge on his ex-wife. To defend and protect herself, she learns self-defense from an expert (Mark Dacascos).

22) Scorcher (2002)

A nuclear testing by the Chinese accidentally damages the subterranean plates under the earth's crust. Thus threatening to destroy the earth in just a matter of days. Mark Dacascos leads a team to try to detonate two nuclear bombs in the city of Los Angeles and stop the end of the world from happening.

23) Cradle 2 the Grave (2003)

A thief steals a collection of prized black diamonds. A gang kidnaps the thief's daughter and demands the thief to give them the diamonds in exchange for his daughter. Mark Dacascos stars as the leader of the gang. This movie also features cameos from UFC fighters like Chuck Liddell, Tito Ortiz, and Randy Couture.

    nice lens, very niche. I've never hear of Mark Dacascos and never seen any of these films. Will I like any of them if I hate Chuck Norris and thought Kickboxer 1 was the only good one?
