Older people are often considered pass it by 50 and cannot adapt to the brave new world order. The Internet is just somewhere to find information or read emails. My fist website was created with Notepad in 1996 and is still going strong. Since that time I have seen and done alot, most of it concerning marketing, using Internet technology.

Down sizing, are you affected?

The problem with down sizing is that jobs that were once considered important, are either dropped or it is pushed onto somebody else. Skills and knowledge are lost in the race to stay in business.

The problem is, if the cutbacks are made in the online marketing activity, it can take a year to recover page ranking and customers see the website or Blog are not updated frequently, so know you problems. Don't cut back on this vital area, at least consider out sourcing to me.
