Using online page creation communities such as Squidoo and Hubpages are a great way to create satellite content as well links back to your main sales funnel.

These appear in Google search results which drives visitors to that particular page. How is that going to help build build sales? As long as you build in related topic content into these hubpages and Squidoo pages you can then link back to your main website, whether it's your own product or an affiliate product. The key is quality 'expert' content on these free content sites so visitors respond to you. Closing the gap between merchant and customer is what web 2.0 is essentially about.

It can also help you build your search engine ranking. Using your target keywords in your anchor tags to link to your main website from these Satellite sites is the way to go to climb up the organic results.

By diversifying your content across a number of 'authority' sites (sites with High Page Rank and Alexa position) you stand a fantastic chance of showing up in Google via the back door.

Let's look at some of the most effective strategies:

Squidoo Lenses: Yep you're looking at one! I'm sure you've heard that before and it still works - although you need to limit the outbound links and make sure you have at least 3 modules (such as you tube videos, amazon etc) on your Lens. Plug in RSS feeds and Twitter.

HubPages - Again ensure there's enough quality content to 'engage' and keep another modules online.

Wetpaint - online wiki. Fast becoming popular in the eyes of the search engines with an alexa rank of 2000.

Weebly.com - create your own website. Another fast mover upwards.

Wordpress Blogs - Always a good one.

ClearBlogs. Another online blog that gives you instant publishing facilities.

In all of these online content entities use your targetted keyword in the anchor text link so: < a href="http://yoursite">your keyword

You should see some of these start to appear in search engine results under your search term phrase - phrase being the word here..the task will be that much harder if you want to be #1 in Google for 'business'. Check the Google results..are there 6 billion results for your phrase? If so this may end up a frustrating experience!

I have been listening through the audio today on my ipod and there is some great stuff on here. They explain exactly how they set up their mainmarketingevent website firesales which brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars.

There are five parts to this audio session, the main nitty gritty technical stuff doesn't come to the last two hour session though and if you've downloaded their free 3 hour secret audio sessions stuff you might notice a lot of stuff is similiar here.
