Some people compare the careers of Mark Hamill, and say, Harrison Ford, and think that's playing Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars movies was the end of his career. But they don't know him very well. Mark Hamill once said that doing Star Wars provided him with enough money to have the freedom to simply do what he wanted. And most of the things he wants to do are not mainstream projects.
Hamill is a huge comics fan. Not only has he provided the voices for many comics-based animated series (and becoming the voice of The Joker in just about every Batman series and movie that appears these days), he went so far as to produce, direct, and star in Comic Book: The Movie, as well as providing voiceovers for many other animated projects and video games. More than that, though, Mark Hamill was the co-writer of the Dark Horse comic The Black Pearl.
Mark Hamill also managed to spoof himself in Kevin Smith's Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, in a role that I will not even describe; you simply need to see it.
This lens will provide you with insight into this very diverse man's career.
