If you ask me, the most important thing in life is to follow your heart and do something you find fascinating, inspiring and worthwhile. This has led me to explore some weird and wonderful career avenues, from hypnosis and poetry to consulting for blue-chip organisations.
For the last 2 years I've been studying part-time for an MA in Creative & Media Enterprises at Warwick University (UK). It's been demanding to work and study at the same time, but the course was fantastic - apart from anything else it's turned me on to the whole Web 2.0 thing, which is what brings me here today...

Each issue has a different editor, keeping the magazine fresh, and features poems by major contemporary poets as well as new and upcoming writers.
The image on the right is the cover of Magma 34, which I edited. It includes poems by David Harsent, Mimi Khalvati, Maurice Riordan, Susan Wicks and many others. It also features the first UK publication of Machi Tawara, who is a household name in Japan, and has sold several million copies of her poetry books. I also interviewed several leading poets about their writing process, for this article.
Therapy
Over the last 12 years I've trained in various forms of psychotherapy, and worked in private practice and for the UK National Health Service. My work with a psychotherapy client was featured in a 30-minute TV documentary for the Discovery Health Channel, as part of the In Therapy series.
The most recent therapy I've trained in is Reverse Therapy - not a psychotherapy, but a bodymind healing process developed by my friend John Eaton. As well as revolutionising the treatment of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Reverse Therapy is now being applied to a range of other conditions. To learn more look at John's Reverse Therapy site and lens.

My Wife's Blog
She tells me it's about life in England - I have to take her word for that, until my Japanese improves. Nice pictures though.

I've just started learning Aikido, hopefully it will make learning Japanese a bit easier (and vice-versa) rather than more difficult.
