Make the Best Freakin' Buffalo Wings

Ranked #4,911 in Food & Cooking, #93,356 overall

I Love Buffalo Wings!!!!

I like food that kicks me in mouth and takes names.  When I eat I want to say "Damn, that was awesome!"  Buffalo wings will kick you in the mouth (and later on in the ass).  If you are like me and getting tired of those lame, so named buffalo wings that Pizza Hut turns out then you my friend have found the right place.  I am going to tell you how to make "Marley's Best Freakin' Buffalo Wing"!!  My family loves 'em, my friends love 'em.  They have even been compared to "Hooters" buffalo wings and they say Hooters has nothing on my Buffalo Wings, except the Hooters.  Yeah I don't have any Hooters, but I do have the Best Freakin' Buffalo Wings you have ever eaten.

Make the Best Freakin' Buffalo Wings

Marley's Best Freakin' Buffalo Wings

Marley, that's me (my nickname) and I love buffalo wings. I also love to cook, much to my wife's pleasure (she doesn't care to cook so much). My cooking reflects who I am. I like adventure, danger and things out of the ordinary. So when I cook, it is usually anything but ordinary. When I eat, I want to TASTE my food. I want to say, "Damn that was good!" I want to remember the experience. So let's cut the crap and get on with it. I would like to introduce to you:

Marley's Best Freakin' Buffalo Wings

What your gonna need to get:
3 pounds of chicken wing sections
12 ounce bottle of hot sauce, I like Crystal brand the best.
1 stick of margarine
1/4 cup or so of flour
some oil, the cooking kind NOT motor oil
1 bottle of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing, the big bottle and forget about diet dressing it won't do any good when your eating wings.

What your gonna do:

Start out by frying up those wing sections. Deep fry them or pan fry them it doesn't really matter, just get them good and done. Don't coat the wings with anything and don't season them. Don't try to get fancy on me here, just fry them. Once the wings are done put them in a baking dish until the rest are done. Now that the wings are done its time to make the sauce.

Buffalo wings should be dripping with sauce, nice and wet. So here is the sauce. Put that stick of margarine in a sauce pot and melt it. Have a cup of water near by. Once the margarine is melted, add a bit of flour and mix up with a whisk. You do not want a paste and your not making gravy so just a bit of flour to thicken the whole mess. This helps the sauce stick to the wings. Stir in a bit of water, maybe a 1/4 cup or so. Add a bit more flour if you think you need it, remember your not making gravy. Now with hot sauce in hand, get rid of the cap. Your not going to need the cap anymore. Pop off that little shaker thing on the top of the bottle, your gonna pour the sauce not shake it. Dump the hot sauce in and stir with the other stuff. Don't be a wuss, dump it all in. Stir with your wisk until the sauce is hot and all the ingredients are well combined.

Now pour the sauce over your wings in the baking dish. Stick the baking dish in the oven at 400 degrees for about 10 minutes. Your goal with the oven is to just heat the wings back up a bit. Your done with the cooking.

You can eat the wings by themselves or put a bit of ranch dressing on the side to dip them in. This recipe will make enough appetizers for a small party or a meal for a family of 4 or 5 hearty eaters. If your doing a meal, serve with french fries or tots or whatever. The tots or fries are great to mop up the extra sauce with. You will need a roll of paper towels handy. One paper towel to wipe your hands with and another to wipe the sweat off your forehead with. Enjoy and have fun.

Cooking Time for Wings

How long to cook your wings in a fryer

If they are thawed it takes about 4-5 minutes to cook. If still frozen cook them for about 10-12 minutes, just be careful if deep frying. The key is to make sure the oil is completely heated and do not overload your fryer. When they are a nice light golden color they should be done. To make sure they are done cut into a large drumette and check for pink meat. If the juices run clear and the meat is not pink they should be done. You can cook partially frozen wings but I advise against cooking wings that are still frozen. The ice crystals can cause spattering and burns when the wings come into contact with the hot oil.

I make mine similar to you and I love the crystal sauce from New Orleans too. Often I'll add more to spice them up and add a bit of heat.

Pretty darn good wings, I used a mix of Tobasco's sauces and then a dash of worchestershire sauce and a bit of garlic - just cause - and dang they were pretty good. Not bad, watching bull riding, eating wings - all without leaving the house! Thanks!
