What could be more romantic than a chocolate flavored martini?

Planning a Romantic Evening? Need a seductive cocktail for the occasion? (Perhaps Valentine's Day, Wedding Anniversary or a Birthday?) Then check out these recipes with a cherry flavor for your special evening. Most of the drink ideas here have chocolate! Why? There is no better ingredient in a martini or cocktail recipe.

The smooth looking cocktail to the left is the Chocolate Covered Cherry Martini from Life's Ambrosia. Here is the recipe:


* 1.5 ounces dark chocolate liqueur
* 1 ounce cherry vodka
* 1 ounce half and half
* 1/2 cup ice
* chocolate syrup
* maraschino cherry


1. In a cocktail shaker combine chocolate liqueur, cherry vodka, half and half and ice. Shake vigorously.
2. Squeeze chocolate syrup into the bottom of a chilled martini glass. Pour martini over the top. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.

* 1 oz Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate vodka
* 1 oz Van Gogh Black Cherry vodka
* 1 oz Crème de cacao
* Cream (maybe 1/2 oz or to taste)
* 3 Maraschino cherries to place in the bottom of the martini glass
* Chocolate syrup swirled inside a chilled glass
