Marvel Spider-Man Posters

This a brief guide to the Marvel Super Hero Spider-Man.
Spider-Man was created by the legendary comic book writer Stan Lee and writer-artist Steve Ditko, his first appearance was in the 1962 comic Amazing Fantasy #15.

Early Years.
Spider-Man's alter ego is Peter Parker, an orphan bought up by his Uncle Ben and Aunt May.
Peter Parker is an unremarkable teenager other than being a talented science fan, while at science exhibit Peter is bitten by a radioactive spider which leads to him gaining many of his superpowers, his abnormal strength and his ability to stick to walls and ceilings. Parker uses his skill as a scientist to develop a suit and wrist mounted web firing device, initially Parker does not use his abilities for good but simply as a way to earn money as a minor television star.
His decision to ignore the chance to stop a thief ends in tragedy when the thief later robs and kills his Uncle.
A Difficult Beginning.

After the death of Uncle Ben, Parker uses his superpowers with more respect but does still not have an easy life, he struggles to help his Aunt pay the rent and is given a hard time by his classmates. Even when Parker is Spider-Man he is still misunderstood by the press and the authorities.
Somewhat ironically Parker eventually lands a job as a photographer on James Jonah Jameson paper the Daily Bugle, the very paper which has been running a smear campaign against Spider-Man.

One of the things that make Spider-Man such a successful comic book character is that many young readers faced the same problems and worries as Peter Parker faced. The difficulties fitting in at school, the shyness and general clumsiness, and yet Parker manages to get through it all, eventually he makes good friends and finds love with Mary Jane Watson, after the death of his date Gwen Stacy at the hands of the Green Goblin.

Why buy a movie poster? There are many reasons to buy a movie poster, first and probably foremost is the low price. Most posters are below $15 dollars and so are easily changed if tastes change.
A Second reason is the fantastic artwork that is displayed in the posters, no expense will be spared by a movie company in trying to attract an audience and so the poster has to grab the attention with it's subject matter and quality.

The Spider-Man was directed by comic book fan Sam Raimi. It stars Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker and Willem Dafoe as the Green Goblin, Kirsten Dunst as Peter's love interest, and James Franco as his best friend.

A day after the September 11 attacks on New York City in 2001, Sony Pictures pulled from theaters trailers for "Spiderman" in which bank robbers are caught in a web spun between the World Trade Center towers. Sony also withdrew its posters in which the towers were shown.

Spider-Man 2 was again directed by Sam Raimi, Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst and James Franco returned as Peter Parker, Mary Jane Watson and Harry Osborn respectively.
The story is set two years after the first film and concentrates on Peter Parker struggles in his everyday life and his other life as Spider-Man.
Alfred Molina plays the part of Dr.Otto Octavius, who after an experiment goes wrong and the death of his wife turns insane. Dr. Octavius is dubbed "Doctor Octopus" after causing havok in New York with his mechanical tentacles.

Marvel comics started life as as Timely Publications. Timely produced Marvel Comics #1 in 1939 which included the first appearance of the Human Torch.
From 1951 until 1961 the comics were printed under the name Atlas.The first comic to appear under the Marvel brand was Amazing Adventures No 3 in 1961.

Spider-Man 3 is the final film of Sam Raimi's trilogy. It again features the same acing talent as the first two films of Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, plus Thomas Haden Church, Topher Grace, Bryce Dallas Howard and James Cromwell. This film introduces the "SandMan", a shapeshifting sand manipulator and an extraterrestrial symbiote which bonds with Peter.

Spider-Mans black costume featured in the Spider-Man 3 film came from a comic book fan.
Randy Schueller, a 22 year old from Chicago replied to a request from Marvel in 1982 for ideas for new Spider-Man stories.Randy spent 2 weeks writing his story which featured Spider-Man ditching his familiar red and blue costume for a black one.
Jim Shooter, Marvel's Editor in Chief offered to buy the story for $220. Spider-Man 3 would go on to take almost a billion dollars at the box office.
