Author of The Magic Tree House Series
My son loves the Magic Tree House books. We have most of the series in our library. He loves to curl up on the couch and read them together. I used to read them to him, then he read half and I read half. Now he does most of the reading, and I get to kick back and listen to the story.
I love Mary Pope Osborne for her ability to create books that inspire children to read. She opens the door of adventure to young children, and teaches them a little about history and the world around them along the way.

- Words cannot express how much The Magic Tree House series has meant to me and my sons!!!! I am in awe of how Mary Pope Osborne can consistently come up with these high-quality books that do not "dummy down" to kids.

- We LOVE Mary Pope Osborne! Did you know she wrote a children's version of The Odyssey? My grade-schoolers were rapt as we read those aloud. She's a wonderful author! 5***** and lensrolled to children's author Eloise Jarvis McGraw.

- My children were all enchanted by Mary Pope Osborne's books. They are great little chapter books as children begin to take off into independent reading.
