Maryville, TN - About the Area
For starters, Maryville (and the greater Blount County, TN area) is a great place to live. It has the amenities that a medium-sized city would have, but wrapped in a peaceful, family atmosphere. There are good school systems, fantastic outdoor activities and solid economics.Located about 14 miles southeast of Knoxville (and only 20 minutes from the Smoky Mountains), the city's location offers convenient access to the best that east Tennessee has to offer.
From the perspective of a family man, Maryville is a great place to raise kids. It is a little slower lifestyle here than in a lot of places. The people are friendly and it still has a small town feel. They have good school systems and plenty of outdoor places to visit. My kids love it here, and so do I.

Great Things About Maryville
One of my most favorite things about this area is the park system they have. Constructed and maintained in conjunction with the Blount County Parks and Recreation department.Probably the nicest thing about the park system (other than there are so many of them) are the incredible greenways throughout the Maryville and Alcoa area. If you like ot bike, walk or run, they are a sight to see.
