If a capella tune X and backing track tune Y had a baby, it would sound something like this
Originally a music mashup is when the vocals from one song are laid over the music of a second song to create a mashed up version that's both but neither. If a good job is done, it enhances the original music. As people play with mashups, the number of songs mashed together continues to be an experiment. And there's an ongoing debate over whether making mashups is fair use or a copyright violation.

- Santastic: Holiday Boots 4 Your Stockings
- This is an amazing collection, but "Santar Klaws" kicks like nothing else! Runner-ups include "Christmas in Boston" and "The Christmas Massacre of Charlie Brown."
- My Christmas Mashup
- eXperimental breakdown - Is this bass really strong enough?
- Santastic II: Clausome
- Following on the heels of 2005's Santastic: Holiday Boots For Your Stockings comes the new album Santastic II: Clausome. This collection of Holiday mash-ups and bootleg remixes offers a new and unusual spin on the classics you know and love. It's funky. It's postmodern. It's the intarwebs. It's Santastic!
- Santastic III in 3-D
- In 2007, we're bringing the Christmas tunes from three dimensions: past, present, and future, and pumping 'em up with the juicy breaks and sugarplum samples to make your spirits bright.

- Very interesting type of music, I used to love going to the club way back when and hear the dj mix "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails with "Paul Revere" by the Beastie Boys, sounded amazing!
