Delve Into the History of MasterChef Presenters
MasterChef, the BBC cookery game show, has spanned many a format over the 30 years it has been running. From the original run between 1990 and 2001, to its revival from 2005 to today, the TV series has become a cult classic with budding chefs and food lovers alike.
The show has seen several incarnations over the years following the original, which include the new format known as MasterChef Goes Large. The show dropped the additional phrase in 2005, but kept the new format. We also saw celebrities brought on board the following year for Celebrity MasterChef; and 2008 saw the addition of MasterChef: The Professionals, a series based around professional working chefs. Finally, from 1994, budding cooks between the ages of 10 and 12 were invited on for multiple series of Junior MasterChef, which has recently returned as of 2010.

John Torode and Gregg Wallace
John and Gregg have been hosting MasterChef Goes Large alongside one another since the rebirth of the series in 2005. The pair are famed for shouting throughout shows at the contestants; and coming from different backgrounds, have two very different opinions on the contestants and outcomes.
Torode is an Australian born restaurateur, owning a selection of eateries and a four-floored restaurant around London's Smithfield market area. Bringing his heritage with him, he specialises in Australasian cuisine. He has appeared on numerous television shows, including as resident chef on Richard & Judy's This Morning, and among other TV shows alongside MasterChef, he also hosts Junior MasterChef with Nadia Sawalha
Wallace found initial success as a grocery store owner, building up the company to a £7.5million turnover. He now supplies a variety of top London restaurants with home grown produce. As such, he is the fruit and veg expert of the MasterChef team, and specialises in ingredients and desserts. He has lent his knowledge to several radio and television shows, and hosts Celebrity MasterChef alongside Michel Roux Jr. Past MasterChef Presenters
Throughout the first run of the show, fan favourite and smooth talking journalist Loyd Grossman presented the show for ten years, taking a one-year sabbatical in 1998. He returned for one more year in 1999, and then left the show completely, where Gary Rhodes was hired in the final year of the run. Grossman was joined each week by two guest judges - a professional chef and a celebrity, who both assisted in discussing menus, the end product of contestants' efforts, and then choosing a winner. Food For Thought
If you've been inspired by one of the charming MasterChef presenters, or any number of your favourite winners over the years, and want to get clever in the kitchen, the first piece of custom printed clothing you'll be needing to tie on is an apron. Kitchen safety is the first step to any successful cook, so why not show off and order a customised apron, or choose from a selection of embroidered clothing to help you take your cooking a little more seriously!
