When you do a search for a product it will tell you the average price that the item was sold at, the start price that most people started the item listing at, the number of listings submitted for the time span that you selected, and the sell through percentage. The sell through percentage is particularly important if you're looking for a market niche to go into.

And if that's not enough information for you, Terapeak will also tell you what day of the week had the highest amount of sales for the item, how long the duration of the auction was set to, most popular listing type, most popular listing category for the item, what time of day the most items were sold at, and if any special promotions were used for the auctions.

Terapeak also provides you with graphs to track information on the specific item that you're looking for. It shows you the highest selling item, as well as all of the listings for that particular item that have closed on eBay.

I won't lie, it's a pretty hefty investment to make at $197.95 a year, but it's well worth its weight in gold as a time saving and money saving tool. Look at it this way, it can save you a lot of time researching what to sell and what not to sell, and it can save you a ton of money in bad investments as far as inventory is concerned.
