What is a MasterMind Group?
The concept of the MasterMind Group was formally introduced by Napoleon Hill in the early 1900's. With the advent of the internet people are getting together to mastermind online.
In his timeless classic, "Think And Grow Rich" Napolean Hill wrote about the Mastermind principle as:
"The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony."
He continues ...
"No two minds ever come together without thereby creating a third, invisible intangible force, which may be likened to a third mind."
In a MasterMind Group, the agenda belongs to the group, and each person's participation is key. Your peers give you feedback, help you brainstorm new possibilities. You will create a community of supportive colleagues who will brainstorm together to move the group to new heights.
Most people view the MasterMind group in a business sense, however, they can be used for personal benefit as well. You can get a group of homeschoolers together and two heads are better than one in coming up with new ideas to keep homeschooling fun and interesting! There is no end to what you can form a mastermind group around, the only limit is your imagination.

Sometimes I find I don't have the time or energy to join a full fledged mastermind group. What I might do instead is find interviews or teleseminars with successful people.I will listen to them and then talk with friends over the phone or online about what I've heard and what I've learned.
This is not a real mastermind group, but it does allow you to learn from successful people and do some brainstorming and processing of the information you've learned.
I find this method of masterminding particularly helpful when it comes to marketing. There are so many audios available from marketing experts, and there are tons of forums you can get on to talk to others about what you've learned.

Learning, Growing and the Mastermind Group
Since I work at home and do marketing, I do a lot of my masterminding around marketing.I find it so helpful to find people who are in my field and are willing to learn and grow and help one another. It is especially helpful to be able to mastermind with people who have more experience and have experienced even more success than I have. This helps me grow and learn and evolve in my profession.
The best place I have found to learn marketing, grow as a marketer and learn all the tips of the trade, as well as having a warm and nurturing environment to use for masterminding is Affiliate Classroom.
