My Start in Drawing
I believe that artwork is a true sign of patience, dedication and imagination. I choose to draw realistic portraits because I am not the type of artist who believes that a bunch of paint just splattered on a canvas is supposed to represent art. I don't get a feeling or expression at all from those and I have seen many of them in my time. I much rather like to see detailed and well proportioned drawings and paintings that truly express the time and the artist's attention to detail. I believe that that is where the passion lies. I have been drawing pretty much my whole life. I have taken some minor art classes but none of them taught me anything that I didn't already teach myself so I consider myself self taught. I like to spend time on my drawings and try to get them as accurate as I can, however, I still have a long way to go. But I'll get there eventually.
