The "golden thread" that runs through all the works of the truly great minds and souls. I noted this some years ago, how the same mystic truths kept surfacing in the works of men from so many different times and cultures

knowledge and knowing

Have you ever considered the difference between knowledge and knowing? As vital and as fascinating as it is, people fail to see the difference. Knowledge is obtained from study, from books and lectures, from asking questions, and from attentive observation. But knowing is quite a different thing. It is the inward experiencing of acquired knowledge. That is what we are after in these books. We want to know things by personal experience. That is what makes miracles happen to us

"The IMPOSSIBILITIES

One way of describing man's blunder is to say he attempts to do the impossible. He tries to make illusions look like realities.

He wants the excitement of worldly success without the fear of worldly failure. This is impossible, for life gives and takes naturally. He can rise above these opposites to true success.

He loudly declares his wish to get along with others, never seeing that this is impossible until he gets along with himself. He is deluded by thinking there can be a difference between his inner and outer worlds. There is only one world.

He tries to twist truth to fit self-interests. Impossible. Truth will not bend. Instead of trying to change truth, he must let truth change him.

Through true magic, the sighting of the impossible also reveals the possible - self-rescue."

VERNON Howard -

KNOCK!

What did he say ??

'Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you'

These are only a few of the men that knew there's more that you will find along the way if you haven't yet this is a great start.. find the one that you are curious about.. or start with the bible you grew up with..or the Qu-ran you were born with, maybe check out the Buddha or the Bhagavagita-Gita how about the Kabbalah it does not matter where we start but go for the original teachings starting the journey is important pick one and then check out others... too many religious people in other countries are stuck in the one book according to the area they are born.. and they fight over the one...

Conflict

The war among the religions is happening here in America too there are groups here also now stuck in their own religion that really came from the old world to the new world bringing with them the war inside of them ..

Only as a individual by reading a few of these different books is what brings respect for all the ones that knocked .. I find most religious men too stuck on the one book not one God/truth..but one 'holy' book and pretends there are no other holy book or other holy men!! as if they have the only key to 'heaven'!! they don't see they are full of conflict, hate and always at war with each other using Gods name most of the time stuck on one religion makes us dangerous it makes us self righteous we don't want to teach our children that any more.

How can we fight if we know the holy books ? not possible.. that's what we all have in common who really reads their holy books to learn ?.. why aren't we reading these books? I think sooner or later we start to question things as they are and maybe that's why the world is in chaos they don't read theirs or other holy books !! all because we think we already know the answers what a wake up call it is for me !! After all didn't one of them say.. 'And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free ??

"From that first magic moment when a man lets himself recognize higher truth when be meets it, his life is never the same."

How Does It Go?

"A sincere student of the higher life came across a book of truth

His first reading aroused apprehension, for the book challenged his false assumptions.

The second reading aroused interest, for something hard in him was beginning to melt.

The third reading aroused inspiration, for he knew he found a pure guide.

The fourth reading aroused self-transformation. For printed truth blended with inner truth. That is how it goes."

To accept or reject without question

If one decides to adopt or denounce the Quran, Bible,or any 'Holy' book it may be good practice to have read them first thats the problem we accept or reject without reading them first not knowing why we accept or reject by interpertation of others only without the reading it ourselves personally as a individual is what most of us do for awhile..

"Verily, verily,
I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also"

On a personal Note

NONE of the men that really knew the truth that can make us free had anything at all against Homosexuals none what's so ever.. so if you hear anyone against Women, Homosexuals, Lesbians or a Race any color...it's bad religion
