Matchstick Kits

Matchstick kits was one of my hobbies as a kid and I had almost completely forgotten about it until one day I by chance came across a site promoting the art of matchstick construction and I was bitten by the bug again!

Was was fascinating is that the site was selling the very same matchstick models that i used to make - except now it is 30 years later!

Have you ever had that feeling of seeing an old friend again? Well that was the feeling I got when I saw the pictures of the model matchsticks.

So I decided to jump back into my old passion and I am waiting for my new matchstick kit to be delivered to me. Hopefully it will be here in a few days!

I was further inspired to start construction again when I saw that one enormous matchstick kit of St Paul's Cathedral was being for about $30,000. Not that caught my attention!

So I decided to do two things:

1) Start building matchstick kits again

2) Document what I am doing and show it to the world
