- This is a great learning idea to make it easy for kids to understand math. It is typically a hard subject for many students and making it easy to understand helps a lot. Kudos.

- Isn't this just like putting a whole bunch of completed homework in a binder? I find it best to review lesson plans and incorporate past material into your new work.

- I'm thrilled to chime in here and thank you for helping me figure out the format for transitioning my kids from one math program to another. My oldest has done a little bit of the notebooking this past spring and the guiding "whys" above give me more reason to encourage my younger children to notebook in math study as well. Thank you for sharing your work and your love of learning with us.

- Another inspirational math lens! I love the idea of using three ring notebooks and sheet protectors for math journals. They are more versatile than the journals that we have used. Thank you for the suggestion.

- You know -the best mathematicians are also great at language. But if a kid were to prefer writing in 'math language' instead of words, I would not discourage that. Just make sure the formula are correct.
