The Goal of the Math-U-See Curriculum

Math·U·See's goal is to help produce confident problem solvers who enjoy the study of math. The reason we study math is so we can apply what we learn in everyday situations. The students learn their math facts, rules, and formulas, and are able to use this knowledge in real life applications. The study of math is much more than committing a list of facts to memory. - We love Math-U-See. Thank you for sharing such a great lens. Playing games is a great way to practice and learn math. Using a Hands-On Approach to learning is the best way for children to truly grasp mathematical concepts. I look forward to reading more of your lenses.

- I'm researching Math U See for my children. We currently use A beka and it's getting on my nerves!!! I've heard great things about Math U see! I guess we'll "see" :).

- My kids are good math students but they both count on their fingers. They are in 2nd and 3rd grade using Abeka. How do I place them in a level to teach them the process of not using their fingers without taking them to Alpha?
