What's Matt Sorum Doing Now?
Matt Sorum is rock 'n roll's renaissance man. His music career is phenomenal, with The Cult, Guns N Roses and Velvet Revolver, plus producing soundtracks for movies like The Incredible Hulk. But, in addition to that, he has his own line of elegant men's suits and is an artist. His latest art work will be seen soon in galleries across America and Europe.
Matt's Musical Bio
In 1988, Matt Sorum played in a band called "Y Kant Tori Reed". Later, Slash saw Matt at a The Cult concert (group that GNR had opened for earlier) and recruited Matt.
Matt Sorum replaced former GNR drummer Steven Adler who was fired. Matt was part of Guns n' Roses from 1990 to replace up to 1994. He later re-joined The Cult.
1995: Matt joined Slash for the sideproject Slash's Snakepit, he also played some drums at Gilby Clarke's solorecord, "PawnShop Guitar".
1996: Duff and Matt made their own sideproject, and together with Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) and John Taylor (Duran Duran), they started the punk-rock band Neurotic Outsiders.
Matt Sorum currently plays with former Guns N Roses bandmates Slash and Duff McKagan and singer Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots in the band "Velvet Revolver".
