Matt Wieters : Baltimore Orioles Future Star
Matt Wieters should be coming up to the Baltimore Orioles SOON! Rumored date for him to be called up is June 9, 2009!!! Did you get your Matt Wieters bobblehead at the Frederick Keys game on May 9, 2009? I did. It really is a great looking bobble. Check out the eBay links below to get yours.
Matt Wieters was a star catcher for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets before being selected in the 1st round of the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft by the Baltimore Orioles.
He will likely be a 2009 callup for the Baltimore Orioles, although it is possible he could get an early tryout with the major league club late in the 2008 season once rosters are expanded.
The Baltimore Orioles, who are coming off a decade of losing, have high hopes that Matt Wieters, along with other young talent like Nick Markakis, can help return the franchise to its former glory.
This page will highlight Matt Wieters merchandise, photos, news items, and more.
