Maui Hawaii Vacations

People often claim that Maui is not as friendly as it used to be. I disagree. I believe the aloha spirit is still alive and well. What is happening is that the over 2 1/2 million visitors each year are not respecting the land and the locals like they used to. basically, this island has become such an amusement park of fun for visitors, that they forget that there is a vibrant culture under their feet. If you want to have the friendliness of the locals and really feel the aloha, make sure that you're giving off a good vibe. Be respectful and pleasant. Don't trespass or litter. In the past people traveled much less, and now that it's become so easy and inexpensive to do so, almost anyone can do travel. A few of these people ruin it for everyone because they abuse the privilege of visiting this magical place. Most locals can tell the difference between the abusers and the "real" travelers. Some can't, so be patient with them. This island is wonderful. We should all treat it this way. I'l be posting plenty of good stuff on this lens, so be a good traveler, do your research beforehand, and see the things no one else knows about. Check in regularly and I'll continue to post what I think people on the mainland would like to know about Maui, Hawaii.
