Meaning

The name Maureen is Irish/Celtic/Gaelic and is a derivative of Mary. It is pronounced Mor-Een. Maureen means "bitterness of the sea" and if often associated with the terms "dark" and "bitter" (but I'm not bitter).

The name Maureen has a number of variations: Maurine, Maurene, Moreen, Morine, Mairin, Maire, Maura and Moreena. Common nicknames are Moe (my personal favorite) and Mo. 

This lens is dedicated to the Maureens of the world, famous and waiting to be discovered. The one thing I have learned while creating this lens is that Maureens are creative women. Enjoy your stay.
