Angel Surprise Cake With Raspberry Fluff Icing
Yum!!

Shopping List:
1 Pre-made, plain Angel Food Cake
3 Pints fresh raspberries
2 Pints fresh blueberries
2 Pints heavy whipping cream
Candy Sprinkles
1/4 cup powdered sugar
This was the easiest and least expensive way to make it (the pre-made angel food cakes were less than the mixes to make them). Frozen berries can be substituted, I did fresh since they were on sale (yay!).
Step 1: Slice the top 1/3 of the angel food cake off with a serrated knife and gently hollow out the inside of the bottom part.
Step 2: Fill the hollowed-out part with 2 pints of the raspberries and almost all of the blueberries. Put the top back on the cake and fill the hole in the center with the remainder of the blueberries and half a pint of the raspberries.
Step 3: In a blender, add the remainder of the raspberries and 4 tablespoons of heavy cream and blend until smooth. Set aside.
Step 4: Whip the rest of the cream until thick. Add powdered sugar and the raspberry puree mixture and mix well.

Step 5: Frost the cake using the raspberry "fluff" whipped cream mixture and then add sprinkles.
Viola'! Angel Surprise Cake With Raspberry Fluff Icing!

- These were wonderful ideas. I recently planned a Max and Ruby for my daughter who just turned three. I did a similar cake for Ruby and used some of your ideas for the dirt cake as well. It worked out wonderfully. We did a generic pinata as well. Thanks for posting!
