Maximum Ride is a character from the bestselling book series, Maximum Ride, by James Patterson. Experimented on from before birth, Max's DNA is infused with avian DNA, making her 98% human...and 2% bird. Max grew up in the School along with the rest of the flock, living in a dog cage as mad scientists experimented on her. At the age of 10, with the help of another scientist, Jeb, Max and the flock escaped from the school and went into hiding in the depths of the mountains. Four years later, they are discovered, and must go on the run again from deadly creatures called Erasers, and the mad scientists back at the School that want to catch them..and eliminate them. Three reasons to love Maximum Ride
1. She's headstrong and never gives up. If it weren't for her determination, the world would have been destroyed!2. She can be caring. She cares about saving the world, but she also takes care of her flock and worries about their safety. She has motherly instincts when it comes to the flock.
3. She's witty and sarcastic. Just about everything she says is full of snark and it makes the book series hilarious.

Background on Maximum Ride
Maximum Ride (Max) is fourteen years old, the oldest of the avian-human hybrids and the leader of the Flock. She is 5'8 and has a wingspan of 13 feet across. Her wings are an off white and brown with tan specks. She has brown eyes and brown hair. Max is the motherly figure over the flock, nurturing them and watching over them, but she is also the take-action leader.Max, like the rest of her flock, also has special abilities outside of her having wings. She has a Voice inside her head, that acts like a computer, giving her coordinates, maps, information, and more. She can also fly up to 240 miles per hour, a velocity speed that the rest of her flock can't fly. In the fifth book, she is also revealed to have gills, and can breathe underwater as well as stand extreme water pressure.

Max's Relationship with Fang
Max and Fang grew up together, literally living in cages next to each other. After they escaped with the flock and went into hiding, Max took the role of leader (possibly because she was a little older), and Fang was her second-in-command.In the first book, Max starts to show feelings for him, kissing him when she thinks he is dying after his fight with Ari on the beach. Throughout the rest of the books, Max and Fang have a complicated relationship, with Fang wanting to pursue one while Max finds it confusing and wants to stay just friends. It isn't until the last book that Max realizes that they are "soulmates".

Not too keen on the name but that doesnt really matter haha as long as the contents is AWESOMELYAMAZING!!!
Cant decide if I like Fang or Dylan better Hmmm I'll keep pondering that one Tehee
Have read the first 7 novels and First 3 Manga books in less than a week and I WANT MORE!!!

- If my best friend ever tells you that I'm obsessed with Maximum Ride, please tell her that the proper term is 'devoted.' Because having MR on your mind for a whole year straight -minus about 8 days- (I read the first 7 in a week in February last year.) Is totally not obsessed. Totally.

- wow, it's been several months since anyone's commented on here! My favorite book, Aly, is MAX (the fifth one). As for my name, well, I've sorta gotten a little fed up with dylan, and I really don't like him (obviously). I do remember Fnick. That would be the basis for the name of my website, www.fnick.beep.com. I'd love it if you could check it out;)

- The Maximum Ride series is my favorite Series, Probably my favorite book would be Angel (a.k.a. newest so far or the book before the last which hasn't come out yet) And btw Dylan_killer...whats up with your name?Not even Max hates Dylan.I think only Fang hates him really...Lol Angelica isn't that the name Angel used to get into the Dooms Day Group?Okay so, Dylan's not that bad, we all know that but HATE the fact he tries to get with Max.Maya's a bitch.Honestly.Since Fang left Max I think he's gonna fall for Maya but him and Max are gonna end up together.Dylan should end up with Maya cuz' he's really nice and caring its just how they "programmed" him to be with Max.Angel should kick whoever asses that took her because Max thought she died and is probably gonna hold a funreal for her.Total...He and his wife really should try to keep up with the flock more.Except is they have puppies...But they helped him sooo much.Gazzy, uhhhh, I don't even know.Nudge ehhh should work in beauty.Something like that.Fang needs to go back to Max.Uhh Star fish, and the other kids in Fangs group, should I don't know, do SOMETHING with their lives.
