Maximum Ride is a book series by James Patterson, consisting of five books. The series tells the story of Maximum and her flock, six kids who were experimented on since before birth. The result: their DNA is 98% human...and 2% bird. That small two percent makes a huge difference: the kids have wings! Now the flock has escaped from the clutches of mad scientists and is on the run, trying to save the world! Maximum Ride is being produced by Avi Arad, the producer of the X-Men and Spiderman movies, as well as Iron Man!Catherine Hardwicke is also directing the film. Catherine Hardwicke has directed Twilight, Lords of Dogtown, and Thirteen.
The screenplay is being written by Don Payne, who also wrote My Super Ex-Girlfriend and The Simpsons.
At the moment, no cast has been officially announced for Maximum Ride, however, there are rumors that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson of Twilight fame, are to play Max and Fang respectively.

I really have no problem with the director, but why not try to get the people in the pictures on the book covers for them? I kind of pictured them like that anyway...like for Max and Fang; the people on 'Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports' listed above; yellow book.

SHE IS NOT MAX, and i beg for mercy that you will not, no..., cannot use Robert Pattinson as Fang 1. Fang has long hair, cuts it, then it gets long again. 2.His eyes, hair, and clothes are all black, Robert Pattinson can't pull off that look and 3. Same thing like Kirsten Stewart HE IS NOT FANG. I swear to God (I'm sorry Lord) If they play those parts this movie would be hated by many Maximum Ride fans, I'm just saying....
