    I have no problem with Rob and Kristin as actors... but I believe they would not be right for Max and Fang. They don't fit the characters so they are not meant to be Max and Fang. They should be forever known as Bella and Edward.. not Fang and Max.

    I agree- while I don't actively dislike K Stewart or Rob Pattinson, I think there's a lot of undiscovered talent out there- give someone else a chance.

    I agree. They would ruin the series if they put them as the main characters (but they are good actors, not gunna lie). They would be better off as not-so-important characters such as Jeb or Bridgett, but not Max and Fang. definetely not. They are too great of characters. Max & Fang Forever <3

    If Kirsten Stewart and Robert Pattinson play Max and Fang I don't think anyone will watch the movie. THEY ARE TOO OLD!! Max and Fang are supposed to be 14 not 20!

    i am excited for maximum ride to be a movie, but they should put good actors/actresses in it. and i'm kind of afraid it will be like twilight, i read the books and i really like(d) them but once it became a movie and everyone became so obsessed with it i started liking it less. i really don't want that to happen to maximum ride too.

    but if the make a movie they should use the guy on the front cover of Fang to play as fang sense he is already labeled as fang of that and same goes for max either the girl on the front of MAXx or the Final Warning there also already known as max. but please keep the book as a book dont ruin it like they did with Harry Potter and The lightning theif and Twilight and all thoughs others

    I say that if you put Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart in Maximum Ride you may as well not even do the movie. I hsve nothing against the two but if they get the roles it will just turn into another twilight movie. Not to mention that the characteers of max and fang need to be played by people not in their twenties.

    Scientifically speaking, I concur. Please do not ruin Fang by making him Robert Pattinson! I mean, the guy plays an awesome vamp, but he has a British accent and looks nothing like what Fang should look like! I think if Kristen dyed parts of her hair in blonde, she could be Max. But she can't be at all like Bella in Maximum Ride! Don't ruin Fang! Don't -begins to chant!-

    Maximum Ride is a very good book. I do hope the movie would be a good one as well. Considering the comments of the fans, I think it is better if the people in charge with the movie will listen to the suggestions and recommendations.

    I will be severely depressed if the twilight cast take over the greatest book series of all time. I'm no twilight fan, so they can screw up that franchise, but I do NOT want them in Maximum Ride. Kristen Stewart can't act, plain and simple. Plus, even if she could, she is by no means cut out for the role of our clever, charismatic, leaderly MAX! And honestly, you'd have to be blind to think that rob pattinson looks like fang, and a bad judge of character to think he can portray him. PLEASE, THINK ABOUT THIS!!!

    Iv read the whole series twice and love it so much. It is my favorite series right above the twilight series. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart do a very good job in the twilight movies (i think) but i definitally don't agree with them being in the maximum ride movies. I know it's probably just a rumor but they are much too old for the roles. I know that a lot of people would agree that they dont look 14... : ) It would probably be a good idea to bring in some fresh new actors and actresses. (I think thats what happened with harry potter and it turned out to be very sucessfull.) Anyway, I am very excited for the movie and CANT WAIT!!!!!!!

    Twilight sucks and the actors suck. i will not see this movie if they play max and fang because i will not deal with a bunch of screaming little girls yelling about how much they love twilight during the movie. Just like how no matter what daniel radclif plays in he will always be know as harry potter, not that its a bad thing i just think that getting new actors that are not that big could make the movie better.

    I LOVE the maximum ride series and i seriously don't think that they are right AT ALL for the parts. I also love the twilight series but they really need to stay at twilight. they are perfect for that part, not this one. plus, fang is supposed to be "dark" and rob is definitely not.     I hate that Hardwicke is directing Maximum Ride. I"m not impressed with her directing skills at all. Twilight sucked. Although, so do the books. Anywho, I hope she does a better job with Maximum Ride, cause if she screws it up, I'm going to be angry. Plus, I don't think Kirsten Stewart and Rob Pattinson should be in it. THIS IS NOT TWILIGHT!     I KNOW!! Twilight is the Male superiority complex spouted from the mind of a women who probably is even LESS independent then Bella and is more of a slave to the wants of men the a prostitute. I am not a Feminazi, but look at the facts in these stupid books. Edward decides EVERYTHING for Bella and with the exception of Jacob, she does it without complaint. The plane ride to see her mother is an example. In the fourth book, instead of being worried about the bruises on her arm or her own welfare, she just wants to know if Edward enjoyed himself. Seriously? This is the type of romance children are looking at? Maximum ride is about to independent people, Max and Fang, being in love (When it gets to the love story, which no, the whole series does not revolve around, Thank God) Not a man owning a woman in body spirit, and by the end, SOUL. Love is giving, not taking like the perverted Edward. So ANYONE or ANYTHING related to twilight, except the fans because we can't do anything about that (You like what you like), kick them off the Maximum Ride set and into the streets.

    As you can see, I don't know of alot of teenage/kid actors, but I think that the ones I put are pretty good. Also, I would definately make a good Ella. Sorry if you couldn't read it, but the Sprose twin is Dylan or Cole. Whichever one plays Zach would be good for Gazzy if he looked younger!

    I think Robert and Kristen would not suit the characters. Because Twilight is so famous people only think of them as Bella and Edward. Besides, you should have age appropriate cast members.     I agree with the surgesstion that Alex Petifer should be cast as Fang, his 'type' (although perhaps darker hair) is what I imagined Fang to be. However I do NOT think Kristen Stuart is a good choice for max! No way! She is still benifiting from the sucess of twilight even though she is the last person that should be cast as Max. She does not fit the part at all!!!!!

    I reckon AnnaSophia Robb should play Max. Not too old. Short blond hair. Pretty too but can look tougher. Like in Race to Witch Mountain.

    And I like Max Theiriot. Just dye his hair and he'd make a perfect Fang. Or Iggy without the hair dye.

    They did good in Twilight, but I dont think Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson would be good for Max and Fang. Robert ,lets face it, hes just not cute enough to be Fang. kristen did good as being Bella but Bella Swan and Maximum Ride are two TOTALLY different characters and I dont think Kristen would be a very good Max. The same goes with Edward and Fang. They need to stick with how the charecters are in the book. And idk who the director is, as long as they are really good and they stick with how the books where written and not strey to far from the books (like how Eragon did). I m sooo excited and happy they are finnaly making these books into movies, and I really hope they dont mess it up. good luck with making the movie, I cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^.^

    ugh! Kristen did a HORRIBLE job, as an actress AND as Bella. She couldn't remember her lines! Through out the enitre movie she was blinking WAY too much, which, as they tought us (actually me lol) in school, is a sign of trying to comprimise with the script. Ack! She was just SOOO annoying!     I think Garret Hudlend should play Fang, But as of now he is 25 so yeah, I don't think so. Gah. But if he were younger he would work perfectly. He could use almost the same hair style he used in Eragon as Murtagh

    I wish they wouldn't make a movie at all because it will ruin the book! Especially if Catherine Hardwick is directing it! If she has any sense, she will NOT get Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to play Max and Fang because I don't think a single person in America wants that to happen!
    PS: There are some confusing parts in the books though, some of the books say that Max has brown hair, some say she has blonde hair. Right now, I'm favouring the brown hair side.

    Yes, I do agree but you will have to look it in a different way. Sometimes, the directer has a hard time directing to make it sound like the book, but they also have a limited to how long the movie can be. They don't want it to long and you as the viewer to tried or bored of the movie. They want to you to get a little of the action of want the plot and theme is going through. Just be happy, there a movie about "Maximum Ride," I as myself can not wait for the movie to come out, but it is going to be hard for me to go watch the film becuase I live far to the Movie's.

    I'm excited to see the outcome of the Maximum Ride movie. With Catherine Hardwick as the director I'm not sure I will like the movie.     Okay, my opinion! Read if you like, ignore otherwise.
    ONE: Nobody and I mean NOBODY from Twilight, which was a REALLY crappy movie by the way, should be cast in this movie, LEAST of all Rob and Kristen. Both are HORRIBLE actors, and both are TOO old! And I'm praying right now that James Patterson gets some sense and hires a director that actually knows how to make a decent movie. If twilight people HAVE to be cast then ignore the girls entirely and use Taylor Lautner or Jackson Rathbone for Fang at least. (Even though they're both looking a little too old too)

    Maybe cast someone like Ellen Page or Anna Sophia Robb to play Max. At least we can expect something great from them. And if these rumours turn out to be true(god forbid), then Ms. Hardwicke should know to not even bother making the movie. My opinion is thinking that she is too lazy to bother and look for some qualified people that actually have talent.

    Okay, I really, really hope that;
    a.) this is a sick rumour invented by some sick person to created panic in avid fans, or,
    b.) the directors are taking all this online protesting into account. They CAN'T cast Rob or Kirstin in MaxRide, even if Catherine Hardwicke directs the movie, which - though it's the least of our troubles - isn't a good choice.
    This has been said before, but I'll say it again: Kirstin and Rob are a.) too old, b.) bad actors and c.) they look nothing like Max and Fang.
    Though I agree that Rob could play an eraser. But not Ari, because Ari is supposedly slightly human in the third book.

    Rob and Kristen CANNOT get roles in this movie! If they do I will scream at the top of my lungs and punch things. Rob and Kristen are strictly Edward and Bella, not anything in this movie. It's totally different from Twilight and they couldn't do it. I agree with Some one, the flock should be played by undiscovered kids.

    We should stop choosing the same movie characters for this movie Kristen and Robert are in there early twenties and max and fang are 14, they should actually get someone around the ages of the characters in the book. I think the flock shouldn't be undiscovered because if they aren't experienced in acting then the movie is going to suck. My dream cast would be Peter and Wendy from the newest Peter Pan movie, that would be cute. Cause right now they are about sixteen or seventeen, but they might pass :) Okay probably not but they all have flying experience!

    [i loved the twilight books and hated the movie, please can't they choose a different director, also rob could not play fang...he's too old, too blonde and couldn't pull off fang's attitude or sense of humour, kristen is pretty but she's too old and a wuss! max is a hardcase who can take care of herself in a crisis, while kristen acts like she'd cry if she broke a nail...some fresh faces - please!!!l

    i agree with what beth said, kristen and rob should NOT be Max and Fang. They are WAY too old, i was thinking that the people who play them should be like 15 or 16, maybe 17. I really love the books! And i dont want to see them messed up because of the movie being crappy. My mom actually made me read the books because she LOVES James Patterson and all of the books he has written. Im glad that my mom told me to read the books because they are awesome!!! I havent gotten to read Maximum Ride: MAX yet but hopefully i will get to this week or the next. I got to read a couple of excerpts on the official website and it looks like Max has started to realize that she has feelings for Fang, this happens in the other books too, but Im hoping that in this book the two of them actually get together. Fang doesnt see any reason why they shouldnt be together but, i think that Max is scared of what might happen. I cant wait until i get to read the new book and see the movie!!!!

    So i think it would be safe to say that any GOOD director would NOT cast rob and kristen as fang and max. in my head fang is dark and mysterious hints tall, black haired. max is also tall for a girl and BLONDE. i saw someone mentioned dakota fanning as angel... maybe if she was still young but not anymore. but then that started me thinking. she is how old?? what color is her hair?? MAYBE she would be ok as max?? but then i also have to agree with the people that are saying that the whole cast would be better off if they were noobies to the movie world. that way it seems new and more ordinary but beautiful at the same time.
    and PLEASE. why would anyone cast disney actors in these movies?? you would have to be crazy!!

    when/if they maek the movie, i hope they don't do what they did with lord of the rings, or dexter! i hope they dicribe everyinth, or at LEAST give Max monolog, because the story is TOLD from her point of view, so i think it's going to be amazingly difficult to shot the movie, but i hope ,to dear god, they DON'T use Rob, or what's her name for them if they do, so many people are going to kill them.....and james is helping direct it to, so i hope all goes well ;)

    the director might make it waaaay cheesy
    and the other thing is, one of the reasons this book is so interesting is that although its scifi it seems totally plausible to the reader. I don't believe Hardwicke could find the right balance for this...she will make the movie seem as though it should be a low-budget film on the scifi channel instead of the action packed emotional "ride" it is...
    also the screenplay writer doesn't have the most amazing resume but i do like his comedic background, i just hope he can successfully portray the deep emotions shared by the characters

    I REALLY hope they make this movie good. And cast it good: I'm sorry, I like them well enough, but I do NOT want to see Hayden Panitierre or Alexa Vega...or most of the other rumors I've heard. I would like to see Elle Fanning as Angel, or Alex Pettyfer or Max Theriot as Iggy, though. I have great faith in the producer of Xmen, Iron Man, and Spiderman.
    Just, please, AS CLOSE TO THE BOOK AS POSSIBLE and the better the movie will turn out!

    The human race has wanted to fly since the dawn of time. It would be wonderful to feel the sensation as one watches the movie--to feel the power of the air and the capturing of that power through equally powerful wing mechanics. The subtleties of the air-currents over feathers. . . I'm not even that interested in the popular aspect of the characters or their development in the movie, though it should have a good storyline. (that's a must--easy to follow, suspenseful. . .using good cinematic cues, and not relying on the audience having read the book before to tell what's happening)

    They DEFINITELY need new actors, not people from Twilight. I personally think it is the STUPIDEST idea to have Kristen and Robert be Max and Fang because 1) they are too old 2) they are already Twilight people (I agree with UnluckySeiko) and 3) they look NOTHING like the image I have of them in my head!!

    yeah. Most of us aren't too happy with the idea of Rob and Kristin. I think it's fair to say that (look below). 1. They are too old. I think it would ruin the feel of the movie if characters that are supposed to be 14 look or are changed to be 16/17. 2. Fresh new actors would make the movie feel more real, which is the entire magic of the books. Rob and Kristin would distract from the storyline. (You know it's true.) yep, so that's why I think we need other actors other than Rob and Kristin.

    I say no to Catherine Hardwick and no to Rob and Kristen they are TOO OLD. The oldest kids in Maximum Ride are fourteen. Do they look like they could pass for fourteen, NO!!!!! There is no way in H--- that they could pass for any age close to fourteen. No to Gaspard Ulliel also... he reminds me of the guy that played Hannibal Lector in "Hannibal Rising". That would just be too weird to watch the movie like that. I think they should have YOUNG actors that haven't done big movies or undiscovered YOUNG people.

    I agree with all the fans who know Fang and Max should NEVER be played by Rob and Kristen. Never. They were ok in Twilight (Still not a big fan of the movie) but if they play the two main characters in this movie too, there will seriously be riots started. I'll start one. My opinion: They should cast some unknown kids to the acting world, and leave all the famous actors behind. Everything would just work out better that way. All i want is for the movie to do the book a bit of justice.

    Why do directors always insist on using actors that are unsuitably old to play young roles? There are millions of talented, unknown, young actors who would die for the chance to play these roles. Using actual celebrity actors would just mess the movie up and make it feel way less real.

    Catherine Hardwick totally messed up twilight she will totally mess up Maximum Ride.

    If Rob and Kristen play Max and Fang, it will ruin everything. Not to mention, Taylor L. is rumoured to possibly be Fang, too. Just because the director is the same, does not mean it's okay to welcome every cast member from her previous movie into the Max world! This is so infuriating!

    If you want suggestions, Catherine, try Gaspard Ulliel as Fang and maybe Emily Browning for Max? Please, please, don't use Rob and kristen for Max and Fang. You'll send hardcore Max fans into severe depression...

    Also, I'm praying that the effects won't look fake. It's already difficult enough to find people open-minded enough to read the books or see the movie. Even if Rob and Kris aren't in the movie, It really wouldn't matter if the cast is perfect or not, if the effects are horrid it will make it embarassing to be a Max fan. That's what happened after Twilight came out.

    Memo for Catherine: Please, just do your best and if anything, at least stay as far away from Twilight as you possibly can!

    I seriously don't want Kristen and Rob playing two fourteen year olds. That's just stretching it too far. They are good playing young adults NOT young teens. I think Catherine should bring in someone that has read the books or is really into Maximum Ride. I kind of look like Max and I'm around the same age so I know what the actor needs to have. They need to LOVE Max and really want it to work. NOT just do the part for money or so they can say they were in a big movie.

    okay people have to really relax there are plus and negative sides to this. She's a director and shes getting hired for a reason. Maybbe twilight wasn't her best work ever but she has talent and she can envision things. Maybe whoever chose her chose her for a reason. Obviously she isn't going to cast Kirsten Steward and Robert Pattinson as Max and fang they aren't fit to play the part and completely miss their description. Whoever even came close to thinking she would do that definetly takes things too harshly. Let it go, I personally want to give her hope so that she will do good on the movie instead of jinx the situation and have her mess it up too. Yes they should be actors that haven't been discovered think how cool that would be for those young actors and actresses but then again that can also be a bad thing and that can ruin the movie.     OK first off they need to find a dedicated cast so they can film all of the books.Second they need to film all of the movies in order so that way ppl who havent read all of the books can understand wats going on. They shouldnt use dakota fanning for angel waaaaayyyy to old and not innocent enough. need someone who is about 5 or 6 or 7.they should use her younger sister.     I will be sooooo pissed if Kristen plays Max. I was thinking more Hayden Pennetier, or that blond chick from Gossip Girl. I also hate that Catherine Hardwick is directing it. She TOTALLY screwed up Twilight, and I'm so glad they got the other director. I was also kinda thinking Mitchell Musso for Fang. i know, I know, he's on Hannah Montanna, Disney, blah blah blah. But, he looks sort of Fang-ish if you see him when he was wearing all-black in that one thing. Maximum Ride is my favorite book series in the universe, and I loved it way before I heard that they were making it into a movie. i was so incredibly freaked that I screamed so loud it almost broke my glasses! The garage band next door complained! Anyways, I will be P to the Oed if they mess this up as bad as Twilight.
