The Mayan Calendar Has Already Ended | The New Era Has Begun
The Mayan Calendar's "Long Count Date" has already happened - at least in terms of truth winning over illusion within the general consciousness. It occurred in 1986 concurrently with the Harmonic Convergence that brought the general level of consciousness of humanity "over the line" that demarcates truth and falsehood.
There's no need to be concerned about what might happen on Dec 21, 2012, because the end of the Mayan Calendar has already occurred; the 'dawn of a new era' actually began 25 years ago, and you didn't even notice!

- Very interesting indeed. Lots of people seem to have an opinion one way or another. I'm going to go with the Socrates approach "the only thing I know for certain, is that I know nothing".

- I sure hope that it is not the end of civilization as we all know it and that it will just be another day. I don't have any predictions, as I do not have any control over what the world decides is the end of the world. I will just be along for the ride along with the rest.
