Mayan Hammocks

Mayan hammocks tend to be woven from brightly colored string or rope. They are perfect for camping and hiking as they can easily be folded into a backpack and tend to be very light weight.

Traditionally, they are made from cotton which makes them very soft and comfortable. They also tend to be made without spreader bars, meaning that you have to lay diagonally if you desire a flat surface. Polyester alternatives do exist, which will last a little longer.
