I'd have to say I definately and strongly support John McCain. Looking at their differences in issues, I agree with McCain's more. Also him being a PoW during the Vietnam War also encouraged me to follow him! I love reading about Vietnam and the various wars and such, and from my reading I have a good understanding (I could NEVER know what it was like, I can't even imagine being a PoW during that time *shivers*) how hard it was to be a PoW during Vietnam. Infact it turns out McCain volunteered to fly for another battleship who had a large amount of casualties, and were running out of Pilots. That same flight he volunteered for landed him in enemy territory, shot down. As you can imagine Civilians and Vietnamese Military Personal were angry and the pilot(John McCain) who had just bombed them, so they beat him as soon as he crashed. Only when the NVA realized his father was a high ranking officer in the Navy, did they try to "treat" his wounds from the crash and from the damage their soldiers had inflicted on him. Of course they couldn't repair the damage that had been done to him and McCain was still in a lot of pain, obviously.
But the part that makes me shiver is that McCain was put into Solitary Confinement *shivers* for two... whole... years... The only other human beings he saw were the ones that had him imprisoned there. But the NVA allowed him to leave his cell for approximately 10 min. on Christmas.
Anyway his war experience makes me look up to him. His courage and bravery are some attributes that make me feel honored to support him. Plus he had the point of view of where he was basicly at the disposal of the NVA.
Though some of you may not agree, this is my opinion and all of you are entitled to your own.

McCain should be the next president. He is going to get us out of all this troubble that we are in. And he is not going to "share the wealth".

Definitely McCain. He has real leadership experience and a record of working with people from all parties to improve government and serve the American people. Obama doesn't.

McCain- no question- We don't need an apprentice in the White House just because he happens to be a black man who makes a good speech.

I like McCain. He's a Republican, but does not blindly follow the Republican part and has no plan to repeat Bush's mistakes. He's a family man and served multiple tours in the Vietnam War, and was a Prisoner of War for years. As a POW, the Vietnamese offered to release him because he was a high ranking officer, but McCain turned them down, refusing to leave without his men. Now, that's the kind of man we need to lead this nation, especially with this nation being at war.

JustBeth says:
A vote for McCain based on his campaigning is really a vote for what only Obama is willing to make happen (WAKE UP CALL: McCain misrepresents his tax plan and his energy agenda for starters).
Just because you were raised Republican doesn't mean you can't try to be realistic and objective. It's refreshing. Try it sometime.
