Both companies offer gourmet coffee drinks, food and snacks, and free wi-fi - but the atmosphere, prices and the taste are different. Where do you go for your cup of coffee? Make sure to share your opinion in our McDonalds vs Starbucks discussion below.
McDonald's
McDonald's is the largest fast food chain in the world, operating in 119 countries and serving over 58 million customers every day. Their usual menu includes hamburgers, chicken sandwiches, French fries, salads, soft drinks and desserts. The company launched a campaign called Unsnobby Coffee back in 2008 when they started expanding in the coffee market. The aim was to offer delicious gourmet retail coffee at a lower price than the competition. McDs added espresso machines to thousands of their locations, and rolled out aggressive ad campaigns for their new coffee offerings. McDonalds vs Starbucks Discussion
Is McDonalds or Starbucks a better place to have a coffee?

McDonalds is better!
Jackie says:
McD's is better tasting coffee and much easier on the wallet. 7-eleven makes a good, cheap cup of joe also.
CoffeeLovaa says:
McDonald's isn't so pretentious and doesn't have the "I'm an important business man" vibe. Or just forget both and have a k-cup:) Also, McCafe Mocha Frapes are the best thing I've ever tasted♥
kab says:
I like MickeyDees better. Around here hey have wifi now, too.
ConnieD says:
Well I have to say, McDonalds Mocha Frappe is much more flavorful, smooth, creamy... mmm... Compared to Frappuccino which is also more expensive. I'm addicted to them!
Starbucks is better!
whats4dinner says:
Starbucks still has some great drinks
GrammaLinda says:
I don't care for over-priced flavored coffees. Both have good black coffee, though I do prefer Starbucks. I think it is more for the ambiance than the coffee, though.
ZodiacImmortal says:
Undecided. They're both good depending on weather you want a quality treat and a dessert or a cheap lunch/dinner and something not as sweet or customized!
Joie says:
Wow... You'd think as a coffee house "promoter," this would have been an easy choice. But... it all depends on my time available and my mood. If I'm after a sit down, take a deep breath and recharge, I go to Starbucks or another comfortable coffeehouse and have something yummy. When I'm in a flying hurry and want some good icy coffee to pick me up/keep me going/cool off, I'll do the McDonald's drive-thru. Surprisingly delicious!
xiaohuaz says:
I can't live without my Mocha Frapochino (I know, I can't spell it...)
Jack2205 says:
Starbucks is better.
EverydayMiracles says:
I would vote for "neither" if that was an option in the debate. I don't like coffee from either of these two places, but I'll tell you what, Dairy Queen Moolattes are awesome!

- Starbucks just because they have more variety and their product is higher quality than anything McDonalds can even offer.

- I have experienced coffee from both McDonalds and Starbucks and I don't like either. The one time I had coffee from McDonalds it was so bad that it put me off ever getting their coffee again. EVER! It might just have been "that" McDonalds, but a friend and I both absolutely hated it.
I have a lot of problems with Starbucks, from the fact that they are overpriced for a relatively poor quality product to the fact that they try to tell me what I *should* eat by taking products off the menu that are high in fat (even if they are popular).
The truth is that I'm practically "off" going out to get coffee because I can't find anywhere that they have good coffee any more! The Moolattes at Dairy Queen are the best I've had though!
