McWorld McDonald's Virtual World Online Social Game For Kids
At McWorld on McDonald's Happy Meal site, kids can join a free virtual world and create their own space online.
I have walked my eight year old through the steps to join McWorld, and discovered the lay out is quite similar to Moshi Monsters, in that you choose a virtual pet to be your game guide, and then you and your pal, as the case is in McWorld, do all sorts of fun activities one chooses from a game world map. You also do activities to earn what are called Sparks Points, which you can use to purchase in game items.
To join McWorld, kids are first asked to choose an mPal virtual character. Characters to choose from include a cat, dog, monkey, robot, dinosaur and kids dressed in costumes, among lots of other fun virtual pets. And that's not all, there are lots more mpal characters to choose from. Once you've chosen your mPal, you get to pick which clothes your pal will wear. You can always dress up your virtual pet differently later on.
After your mPal is dressed up, then you choose and name for your virtual character, and also a secret password.
After that, you can decide which kind of virtual world you want to play in!

Things To Do In McWorld
McWorld is based on a map of game activities that kids can choose from. I'm quite impressed with the quality of the game - the graphics and options are visually attractive and a lot of fun. Here's a list of activities players in McWorld virtual world can do.

In the Treehouse Forest, kids can design their own online space. It's possible to connect with friends in this virtual world, making the Treehouse Forest a kids version of Facebook or MySpace type app.

mPal's can visit Petsylvania, where they can adopt and play with an mPet

Game Dome is where kids can play games in McWorld, and earn various gamer badges

Space Place is in Outer Space! Kids can do fun activities like design their own virtual aliens and robots

Super Opolis is where Heroes are welcome, and Ben Ten is the main attraction. In Super Opolis kids can ask to be 'buddies' with other players.
