In a Reddit thread on March 8th, 2011, user "Insert" claimed to have drawn the original Me Gusta face, and subsequently posted it to 4chan. He went on to do an "ask me anything" thread that same day, and he cited a Tumblr post and Deviant Art page as evidence that he was the original creator.The first comic on Reddit was posted on March 18, 2010 by Redditor "me_gusta". In a comment he claims he discovered the image on 4chan before posting it to Reddit.
