    Certainly. Interestingly enough, two of my favorites quotes about life came from movies/TV: From "The Edge" said by Anthony Hopkins: "One man can do what another man can do." It gave him courage to face a wild bear, and I find it gives me courage to do things that I know someone else has done, but I don't feel are within my abilities. The second comes from the "Sopranos" and was said by Dr. Melfi, to Tony. The gist is,"What makes you, Tony Soprano, responsible to right all the injustices in the world?" I find that one very helpful in letting go of things that bother me greatly, but really aren't my wrong to right. Film and TV might be rotting our minds, but I find it offers pearls of wisdom like all other artforms.

    Yes one can choose one's attitude, but sometimes one has to fight at the risk of one's life if one wants to change the attitude. We are creatures of habit. To break bad habits require a lot of effort.
    I think is easier to change our attitude if we have a good character developed from good upbringing. Otherwise, we need help. From others or from God through faith and lots of prayer and effort.

    Quotes are my emergency exit. They can motivate and inspire me to move on. Unfortunately, their affect doesn't last long, so I write them everywhere.

    I'm presently trying to do some soul searching, and I cam across these quotes. All of these quotes have gotten me to think, about ME! All of the quotes I have been reading, have made me think about situations with other people. All of these have given me a little in sight to how I feel about certain things, and how I need to approach the confusion in my life right now. I really appreciate you expressing how you took each quote and especially how you felt towards them and how you felt they should be applied to life. You have really helped me get a better picture as to what I need to do. And Im going to keep this page bookmarked so I can read these quotes and your views of them whenever I find myself in this situation again! Thanks for all your help!

    Yes, I love meaningful quotes about life - some of them are so deep that they make you think and kinda give direction to one's life. My favourite one from the ones that you listed above is "Love like you've never been hurt". You've created a beautiful lens here...blessings! : )

    Really like this lens! My fav is the one by Marceau - it"s very true! Sometimes those you care about just want to vent or "speak out" their feelings. It's important to know when to give feedback and advise and when to just "shut-up" and be there for them. Awesome lens - 5 stars! :)

    Thank you for sharing your top ten meaningful quotes. I have written down favorite quotes for years, not only some of the famous ones, but lines from books or poems I've read that 'speak' to me, or something special someone said. My daughter & I both enjoy special quotes and sayings and we frequently add a new one or two we've found to the bottom of our emails and keep favorites posted around the house to read and reread.

    The best quote for me is that of Socrates because in knowing myself I gained all my wisdom and knowledge. Only problem with it is that he never wrote anything down and it obviously was attributed to him by one of his followers. This is a great lens on an interesting subject.
