A Diva for Women of all ages!

Creator Kevin Race gives us the scoop on this funny, yet (almost) evil little lady in this interview with writer Katie Ingrao.

Mean Little Bonnie - Not Such A Nice Girl

The cantankerous pop icon diva finally comes alive!

Mean Little Bonnie, part of a larger group of juvenile characters with attitude called Juvees (TM), was created by Kevin Race in early 2005. She started life as a simple doodle next to fellow cartoon star Poor Little Billy, a sad little boy who lives in a dreary world where everyone seems to hate him and is usually shown with a tear running down his cheek.

Mean Little Bonnie is very much Poor Little Billy's opposite. She's one tough cookie who has a smart-ass attitude and is not afraid to match wits with anyone. Kevin, who at times talks about his characters as simple creations while other times almost speaking in the first person AS each character, has this to say about his chick with a chip on her shoulder:

"Mean Little Bonnie is to me the essence of what females really are. Women know that they have a huge advantage over men. They can make us or break us. It really is all about Girl Power in these modern times. Bonnie, as a character, expresses herself in a way that generates the kind of energy a real woman has the potential to emanate, but chooses to do so in the darkest and rudest way possible. She can laugh at you and make you feel like a complete moron even when you're at your peak of confidence. She can almost knock you off your feet with the bat of an eyelash. And if she's ever angry enough to let it show it would be wise to stay out of her way and not confront her in any way, shape or form. Unless you really do enjoy getting beat up by a girl."

Being merely doodles for over four years, Kevin decided to finally breathe life into two of his characters in July of 2009 and create an online marketplace to feature several items bearing the likeness of his creations. Both Mean Little Bonnie and Poor Little Billy reside in their own respective online stores within the Zazzle Marketplace. Both Mean Little Bonnie and Poor Little Billy are featured in black and white artwork, but Bonnie has now made the transition to color and has received a slight face lift design-wise as her popularity expands.

Kevin says, "I really wanted to see how they'd fare in the real world so I just tossed 'em out there. Poor Little Billy has a few items up in his store and I'm really glad to see him in the public eye, but to me Mean Little Bonnie is the one who possesses the commercial potential I'd like to realize so I'll be focusing on her quite a bit more."

Mean Little Bonnie merchandise is geared toward women of all ages who want to express their cranky side in a fun, yet poignant way and is currently available exclusively at Zazzle.com.
