How to fit a bra shouldn't be this hard! It's amazing how far and wide the benefits are to a woman when she finally learns what bra size is right for her. Everyone's been talking about this lately, but practically no one has the right answer.

How to measure for a bra, anyone can do that. Knowing how to determine bra size for you is what most bra fitters don't know. The internet is full of sites that claim to know how to find the right size bra, but their information is just plain wrong. It's almost impossible to find the right information on the internet, and I have 38 years of experience backing me up.

The funny part is that clothes designers know exactly where a woman's boobs are supposed to be, and they design clothes with curves and darts to fit attractively around a woman's boobs. But bra fitters can't seem to figure out how to get a bra to hold a woman's boobs in the right spot. It's as if there's a wall preventing communication between designers and fitters.

This causes more than just an unsightly appearance. Wearing the wrong size bra leads to chronic neck, back and shoulder pain, and it also hurts your pocketbook when you have to spend money for expensive alterations that you wouldn't even need if you were wearing the right size bra.

It makes no sense . Finding your right bra size will make you look great in your clothes, you will get rid of your chronic neck, back and shoulder pain, and save money by avoiding alterations you don't need anymore.

What's Wrong with the Bra Size Calculators you can find on the net? I'll tell you.

On February 29, 2008, I did a Google search for "bra size calculators" and then I tested all of those on the left side of page one. There were 9 sites there with a bra size calculator, that lets you type in your under bust and over bust measurements and in 2 to 3 seconds it gives you a bra size.

It's fast, it's free, and it's WRONG.

For each calculator I typed in 31 under bust and 36 over bust. 8 of the 9 calculators came up with the wrong size bra for those measurements, and the average mistake was off by 4 band sizes and 4 cup sizes. The average mistake was way, way, way, way, WAAAAYYY off!

Fitting a bra is an art, not a science, so there's always going to be some acceptable variation. 1 size this way, 1 size that way, is no big deal. But a total of 8 sizes off?

That's like going to a shoe store needing a 7 ½ shoe, and the clerk comes out with a 10 and a 5 and says "let's give these a try." You'd wonder if the clerk had any idea what he was doing, and you certainly wouldn't start your search based on his silly recommendation.

I believe that the owners of websites with bra size calculators don't really know anything about bra fittings. They've just got hold of some information and they're using it because, well, because they simply don't know any better.

On March 30, 2008, at 7 pm Arizona time, I did another net search. I googled "how to measure for a bra." Out of the 10 listings on page 1, 8 of them were wrong. Is it any wonder, then , that the vast majority of women are wearing the wrong size bra? If the "experts" don't know themselves, where can the average woman go to find out what bra size is right for her?

The answer is the average woman will have a difficult time finding out what bra size she needs, but you found the answer when you found My Bra Size Secrets.

Take your own under the bust and over the bust measurements. Then do your own web search for either "bra size calculator" or "how to measure for a bra", either one, it doesn't matter which. You'll get lots of sites to choose from.

Pick as many as you want that have a bra size calculator, and use it. Type in your under the bust and over the bust measurement and see what size it says you should be wearing.

There's a better than 80% chance that the bra size calculator will say you should be wearing a bra that's more or less the same size you're wearing now. And when it does, that's the proof that you need to learn the right method for measuring your bra size!
