Recipe Directions:
Quick and Easy Meatball Appetizer
- Serves: 8
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Total Time: 1 hour
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup dried breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1 1/4 cups grape jelly
- 1 egg
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 12 fl oz tomato-based chili sauce
Instructions
Stir together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper.
Mix until well blended, then shape into round balls.
Warm a large skillet on the stove over a medium heat.
Add the meatballs and cook for 5 minutes or until the meatballs are browned.
Remove the meatballs from the heat and drain them on a paper towel-lined plate.
Next add the jelly and the chili sauce, and heat until the jelly is melted down and the sauce is mixed together well.
Add the meatballs to the sauce.
Reduce the heat and let the meatballs simmer for another half an hour.
