Why Do You Need The Living Cookbook Recipe Software?

Do you cook? Do you use a recipe? Do you crave order in your life? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you just might want to look at The Living Cookbook Recipe Software. You can use it to organize your own recipes, import recipes from the Internet, create your very own cookbook and publish it, either in print or as an ebook, generate your grocery shopping list and calculate the nutritional analysis of your recipes.

What's In A Recipe

A Recipe For A Recipe

Reading a recipe is essential to making a dish for the first time, but do you realize that the proper way to write a recipe is listing the ingredients in the correct order that they are added to the recipe process? That is one of the tips that this software gives you. Whether you are using it to organize your personal recipes or producing your own cookbook, they walk you step by step through the process. I am a perfectionist. I want EVERYTHING done right. I want to choose my own layout and my own font size (baby boomers - aren't you tired of having to use a magnifying glass to read your cookbooks). You can run that font size up to any size you want.

Nutritional Analysis

The software is linked to the RDI tables for your nutritional analysis. If the values change, simply click on the link to update to the latest version. The have the values by item if you're using, say, ground chuck, in your recipe. If you're using Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup, they have that too. It is essential to KNOW, not just guess what's in the foods we eat. With the growing instance of heart disease, type II diabetes and other serious conditions, guessing is not an option

What Else Will This Software Do?

Start With a Grocery List

You can use the grocery list feature to help you prepare for your next trip to the grocery store. You can layout your very own virtual grocery store, aisle by aisle, list what you need to pick up at that virtual store and the software will generate your shopping list using your layout. How handy is that? No more doubling back from aisle 12 to aisle 2. SWEEET.

Want To Publish Your Very Own Cookbook?

Choices, Choices, Choices

Publishing your own cookbook couldn't be easier. You can print your cookbook out and spiral bind it. You can either do that yourself or take it to a local print shop and they'll do it for you. I use a laminator and a spiral binder to make my own. You can order those items online or just pick one up at a local office supply store, which is what I did. I have a local retailer that keeps one of my cookbooks in stock. They just call me up when they need more and I crank 'em out and drop them by for them. Some stores will stock them on a 'consignment' basis and some will just pay you outright for them. Just make sure that your recipes are original.

You can also put your cookbook on your website or blog and sell it online, which is the main reason that I chose The Living Cookbook Recipe Software because it makes this job so easy. So many choices.

That's a good idea to create your own cookbook. It's something you could pass down for the next generation.Although, if you want it to last it would need be hard cover bound.

I'm all for using software to make cooking easier. I might try out the living cook book for recipe stuff. However, I already use a grocery list program at http://www.GroceryWiz.com

Hi, ad101. Great idea. We print ours out and spiral bind them. We make a graphical front cover and back cover and laminate them. You can do it yourself. You'll need a puncher and spiral binder from a local office supply store. Works a charm. If you don't want to go that route, take it to a Kinkos and they'll do it for you. We make so many of them, it just made sense to get the equipment and do it ourselves. If you are producing the cookbook to sell, we have found that our local stores prefer a printed and bound cookbook over a CD. You can make your own cookbook and either sell them directly to the store or they may prefer to put them in on consignment.

I used to eat a lot of meatloaf growing up, but now that we eat "fancier" food, I don't eat it much any more.

Publishing your own cookbook is a great idea and not that difficult to do, especially with software available today like Living Cookbook Software. And it's a great way to keep the family recipes alive and pass from generation to generation.

I particularly like the feature that links to the RDI tables for nutritional information.

Here's another idea to create your own cookbook online (and it won't cost you anything).

Thanks for the helpful cookbook information.
