Meatloaf the Cat is my hero!
Every once in a while, a positive story makes the news.
What is really funny is these TWO stories about cats. And the funniest thing is that BOTH are named Meatloaf The Cat.
Thanks, Meatloaf the Cat from Miami, Florida! I love it when the cat wins! This time he got one over on the firemen.
And also thanks goes out to Meatloaf The Cat (also from Florida) who took a three-week cross-country ride to Arizona in a storage container. Hope the ride home is more comfortable.
All this talk about Meatloaf The Cat is making me HUNGRY. (For MEATLOAF, not for CAT, silly.)

Good old meatloaf the cat TIMES TWO!
So Meatloaf the cat NUMBER ONE, or so the firefighters call him - Meatloaf the cat, really pulled one over on the Miami fire department recently. I am afraid I enjoyed this story a little too much. But then again, I ALWAYS root for the cats!And Meatloaf the cat NUMBER TWO, decided to make a trek cross country as a stowaway. My guess is he will think twice about doing THAT again.

Arizona Humane Society officials say the 2-year-old gray cat crawled into the locker in Pompano Beach, Fla., while a man loaded it for a move to Phoenix.

The container spent time in a Florida warehouse and on a semitrailer before being delivered to a Phoenix facility.
A worker heard a cat meowing inside the container Tuesday. The cat, named Meatloaf, was hungry and thirsty but unharmed. The man who was moving remembered a similar cat near his old apartment.
Meatloaf's owners had put up posters around their neighborhood. The apartment manager remembered them when Humane Society called.
Officials will give Meatloaf time to recover before flying him home.

Wed Feb 13, 11:10 PM ETMIAMI - It was the stereotypical firefighters-try-to-rescue-cat story, but with a twist. Firefighters from the South Florida city of Weston spent a sopping hour in pouring rain Tuesday trying to extract a kitten squeezed in the undercarriage of a stranger's Volvo.

The crew tried jacking up the car and taking off a wheel, all for naught. The feline ducked out of reach at each attempt to grab it.
At some point, the cat escaped undetected, prompting the crew to spend another hour peering in bushes and scouring a Walgreens parking lot.
They finally gave up and headed back to the station, answering at least two more calls on their way.
Five hours after the saga began, the elusive cat reappeared: At the station, in their fire truck's rear wheel well.
This time, firefighters used chunks of meatloaf to try luring it out. It was unenticed, so the crew resorted to an ultimately successful three-pronged strategy: One firefighter poked the feline in the backside with a Slim Jim, another used a hose to force it into an open compartment so a third person could pull it out.
The feline was dirty but unharmed.
