Did Medicine Kill real Doctors?

At one time, Drs. were looked at as semi-Gods in this country. Now, they are disdained behind doors, people travel to the next closest hospital because they know too many horror stories about the closest one. What happened?
I believe it is a combination of two trends that had had a very unfortunate evolution.
First, when Drs became highly paid professionals, the field started drawing people for the wrong reasons. I am sure there are some that got into practice only because they wanted to help people, but I also think they become fewer every year. Back in the days when a Dr. might get paid with a chicken or fresh bread you knew he was there because he cared, his calling was from his insides and he was going to do his damndest to cure you or help you.
Today, many of the people we depend on to care about us have way too many patients to be good Doctors, but that's where the money is, and that is why they got into the field...period.
The second thing that caused this unfortunate change in the medical system is the professionals themselves. They took the field of health and disease and turned it into a circus. Everything, every shortcoming a person had, became a part of medicine. Pills and cures were flying rampant for anything not considered normal.
Here is where the really critical turn took place, as Drs came up with more and more reasons to make people patients and give prescriptions; they were taking away our duty to be the best person we could be, they gave us an excuse for every aberrant behavior we supplied them with. What they didn't get at the time, was that by making us not responsible, they were making themselves the responsible party.Suddenly, if we did something wrong, it could be because of them and the treatment they gave us.
Now, along with the pills flying around everywhere, the lawsuits were starting to fly right along with them. The very changes they made to our society, were coming back to bite them in the ass. Rather than see the problem and try to right the problems in medicine, they took the low road. People that truly were in desperate need of good care and meds became someone Drs. did not want to treat. Everyone that walked through the door was seen as a potential lawsuit and the deranged or chronically in pain people went from being a first priority to the last person a Dr. wanted in his practice. The very people that needed meds could no longer get them but the rich and good looking specimens were still aplenty to keep a very healthy income coming in.
So what are we left with today? Drs that are in the field for the wrong reason, a society that takes no responsibility for it's own actions and people in need of treatment unable to get it because the Drs. don't wanted bothered with "walking lawsuits." In a word, good medical care is about impossible to find today.
Let me say here, this is my opinion. I am no professional. But, I have been hurt badly by this trend. In the last six years I have been devastated first by a very serious illness and second, by the people I trusted with my life. My goal is to get to a point where seeing a Dr. is the last resort. I do realize there are times when you don't have a choice, but there are also alternatives and living a different lifestyle. Today, I believe strongly in health supplements. I no longer trust their pills and I damn sure don't believe they want what is best for me.
I started on supplements over a year ago. I no longer take take all the pills they want me to take. This has caused a bit of a quagmire for me, because I refuse to take all the meds they want me to take, I no longer have access to the meds I need. I have become one of those "walking lawsuits." This doesn't concern me as much as I thought it would. After awhile on supplements and living with a different outlook on taking responsibility for my own health, I find I am getting better. I am finally coming out of the darkness that poor medical care and a total disregard for my opinions caused. Did supplements do this? I honestly believe they did. Our bodies no longer get the rich nutrients from food and our minds no longer get the peace we need to remain at optimum.
I recently joined a company I believe very strongly in because of their beliefs about optimum health through supplements and healthy living. A few months on their products have made a difference in me I wouldn't have thought possible. I see that society is increasingly becoming aware of these problems, people are turning to alternative medicine at a staggering pace. Hopefully, someday the two fields will meld into one and Drs will have to give good care or lose their job. Not be sued, lose their job!
I am considering writing a book on medical care in America today. I have my own and many other stories from people that I believe need to be told. Hopefully, I will get around to this endeavor although at this point I have no idea how to go about doing it.
If you have a medical horror story, I would like to hear from you. My hope is to write a book that will open eyes to our medical care. I know we all see a tragic story on the news every once in awhile, my belief is that it happens much much more often than the medical community wants us to know.
I also believe their cupboards are full of supplements and they do not take their own garbage. Do you share my belief? I hope to hear from you.
I also advise you to go immediately and rid your cupboards of old medicine and replace it with health supplements. My company is Nutronix, I have complete faith in them, but if not there, find your own supplement store. The products might not be as evolutionary, but they are a start.
I am very proud to be a member of http://www.nutronix.com/kritzic and suggest you check it out.

The health care system is certainly a mess in this country, and I have no idea how they will fix it. Thanks for pointing out some of the alternatives available today.
