Meditation For The Treatment Of Migraines
If you suffer from migraines, you may have heard reports that meditation can help in the treatment of migraines and headaches. Meditation, or the simple act of quieting your mind can help relieve stress-related headaches and migraines. Do not let your religious affiliation, or lack thereof, cause you to reject the idea of meditation. While there are many meditation practices tied to religion, there are equally many secular methods of practicing meditation.

Meditation For Beginners
These books are perfect for someone new to the practice of meditation.
A Simple Meditation To Try
This is one of my favorites because it is such a simple meditation.
1) Sit in a comfortable position. Avoid lying down because you may get too relaxed and fall asleep.
2) Close your eyes.
3) Count your breath. Count each inhale/exhale as a single number. Count up to ten, and then count down back to one.
4) Focus on your breathing and the counting. If you mind starts to drift, remind yourself to return to counting your breath.
You can do this for as much time as needed. Even doing this basic meditation for just one minute can be helpful!

Guided Meditations For Migraine Sufferers
If you suffer from migraines or severe headaches, and have no experience with meditation, you may not be sure how to start. In addition, when you are in the midst of a severe migraine or headache, it may be difficult to focus on anything in your mind. For these reasons, it is often helpful to use a recorded guided meditation to treat your migraine or headache. This allows you to focus on the voice and music in the guided meditation instead of your migraine pain or headache pain.

Subliminal Meditation For Migraines

Migraine Headaches Treatment Subliminal
I personally use this particular Real Subliminal product designed for treatment of migraines. Does it help? I can't say for sure that this subliminal for migraines actually cures migraines or stops headaches in their tracks. I do know that it is helpful for me while waiting for a rescue medication like Imitrex to take effect. That alone makes this subliminal migraine treatment worthwhile.

- Great lens. I meditate regularly and as I am usually plagued by migraines and tension headaches, meditation definitely helps.
