Have you got any pipe dreams?

From the lens Meerschaum.

I have a meerschaum cheroot holder with the prancing horse just like the one you say was your first purchase. The only differences are that the horses head is not quite so high and there is a small viewing just below the horse. When you look through the aperture there are two naked ladies. They are in Classical poses, not offensive, and appear to have suffered no ill effects from the heat of the pipe. The box is perfect and has the name Fred Hoffman printed in gold on the front. Regrettably no makers name but suspect German origins due to person who had it.

Sounds like quite a rare item, the viewer is a Stanhope, a collectible in itself. You're lucky indeed. The pipe could be Austrian. my first was Austrian in make. The artwork of meerschaum pipes is amazing.

I have seen a few meerschaum pipes in the past, but nothing such as these. The pipes showcased in this lens are works of art. Impressive. I especially like the white horse and dog. Thanks for the education.
