Comedy Sci-Fi: Formerly Starship Dave
The creative comedy comes from the mind of Bill Corbett, creator of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
A walking, talking man, is actually a killer machine, built to house small aliens on a quest to research the human race. Eddie Murphy stars as the captain of his ship (literally), and the ship. He must have had an interesting time playing a machine. The powerful spaceship is fully equipped with lasers and opening hatches. The 'Dave' starship is overly powerful. The trailer shows Dave being fatally hit by a car but getting up as if nothing happened. He also stops a taxi, kicks a cat, and 'fires' a baseball at milk bottles. His strength is unlimited and it causes a stir of inquisitiveness among the people he meets.
