* Mehcad Jason McKinley Brooks (born October 25 1980) is an American actor and former male fashion model.
Brooks was born in Austin, Texas. He has modeled since the age of fifteen. Brooks attended the L.C. Anderson High School in Austin, Texas where he also grew up. After he graduated high school, he attended the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts.
From 2005 to 2006, Brooks played the role of Matthew Applewhite on the popular ABC TV drama Desperate Housewives. He recently appeared in Glory Road, portraying Harry Flournoy, a forward at Texas Western University, and in the 2007 film In the Valley of Elah.
